This discipline is aimed at patients with any type of functional deficit in orthopaedic, neurological or rheumatological terms, where there is a net reduction in motor function but a good potential for recovery (health potential).

The problem must be at the sub-acute phase (for example, immediately after orthopaedic surgery, a stroke, etc.), where the window of “biological recovery” is still wide open and therefore a hospital stay with intensive rehabilitation is recommended.
