Facility
The hospital is located in a residential area of Arco.
It has 167 authorised beds, of which 145 accredited for inpatients and 8 for day hospital use. The remaining beds are for clients requesting private treatment, for which they will be paying.
Accredited beds are those for which there are special agreements to provide NHS treatment, paid for by the Provincial or National Health Authorities, as in all public hospitals.
The mezzanine floor is home – on one side – to some of the outpatient care surgeries, the day hospital facility, a gym for physiotherapy and medical imaging and on the other, the restaurants, TV lounge, Internet café, relaxation room, bar and terrace.
The first floor has 24 rooms for patients undergoing motor or neuromotor rehabilitation, for a total of 65 beds.
The second and third floors are used for the 38 rooms reserved to cardiac rehabilitation patients, for a total of 80 beds, as well as diagnosis areas and a gym.
On the west side of the basement is the kitchen and on the east, the MRI and CAT scan department.
An adjacent building (Villa Zelikowsky) contains most of the outpatient facilities, a pool with gym, the pathology lab, administration offices and also the offices of the Healthcare Management and also of the company.
Inpatient clients number some 3,000 every year, of whom more than half come from other regions of Italy, in particular, Veneto, Lombardy and Emilia.
The hospital employs 140 staff plus 30 doctors working on a freelance basis in the treatment of outpatients.
